Leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and come to where the air is fresh and the scenery is not blocked by highrises. At our bed and breakfast you can relax on one of the many porches, or grab a Muskoka chair and sit by the gently flowing river and watch the boat traffic coming into town from Balsam Lake and the Trent-Severn Waterway. Sleep on our comfortable beds--we use only the finest Egyptian cotton sheets. Wake to the smell of coffee and fresh baked muffins and delight in the full breakfast (served on the screened-in porch with a view of the water, weather permitting). Two of our rooms have wonderful, whirlpool tubs for a romantic getaway weekend. Situated in the quaint village of Coboconk in the heart of the Kawartha Lakes region, our historic bed & breakfast is known to be the second home built in town, circa 1878. Originally built as a family home by Adam Henry Carl it was later known as Lakewood Lodge and is still called "The Lodge" by some of the locals. In 2000 it was once again opened up to those seeking a place to get away from the city and relax for awhile. The stately Victorian house offers accommodation as a bed & breakfast year round, while the cottages are available during the spring, summer and early fall for weekly rentals. During the winter we offer special themed weekend getaways. We offer dinner to our bed and breakfast guests with advance notice, so you don't even have to leave. However, if you want to explore the Kawartha Lakes region we can help you find a restaurant nearby. Fenelon Falls is a short 15 minute drive away with plenty of places to eat.
